Aoki Lapis is a fairy, so she is naturally very tiny. She is only around 5 or 6 inches tall, and has a small, thin build. While this makes it easy for her to hide from animals, sometimes other Vocaloids walk right by her without seeing her, as if she were invisible. Lapis has long hair that is both blue and purple, and is normally put into twintails. Even without the twintails, it seems like she just has two wisps of hair that trail behind her as she flies around. On top of her odd hair, she wears a large Paraiba Tourmaline set on top of a green headband. People tend to ask why she has such a huge gemstone on her head, and sometimes they ask if it interferes with her flight. The reason she wears it is because she really likes gemstones, and she thinks it makes her look pretty. After all, weren't all those humans wearing gems on their necks and hands because they looked prettier with them on? It doesn't really interfere with her flight or anything else because Lapis has gotten used to carrying a giant gem everywhere she goes. Lapis's normal clothes usually sport light, cool colors, such as light blue, light green, aquamarine, and lavender. Lapis also likes the color white. Sometimes Lapis will wear shades of indigo, since it's a combination of two of her favorite colors, blue and purple. Sometimes she'll wear black or dark purple, but not often. Most of her outfits are dresses of some sort and if she's not wearing a dress, she's usually wearing a skirt or a skort. She always wears shorts underneath her dresses and skirts. Her stage outfit is basically a shirt that is white on the front and blue on the back with blue buttons down the front, a ruffled, bluish-green skirt, and long, white boots.

Aoki Lapis is a huge dreamer, and is sometimes told to "get her head out of the clouds". She loves to fly onto high shelves and just dream of anything she wants to. She doesn't like to stay in reality and sometimes has a hard time paying attention when people talk for long periods of time. When she sings, she hopes that everyone who listens to her will have creative ideas. She loves to sing, and can think of a song for anything, or make up a song on the spot. Sometimes, these songs sound good, other times they sound horrible or weird. Lapis is normally quiet and tries to be polite when she is spoken to. If she's friends with someone, she tries to listen to them without drifting off, and is getting better at listening to others. Sometimes, she gets in an extremely chatty mood and goes on a long-winded speech about something that may seem random, but is normally something she was thinking about recently. She doesn't care too much about popularity, she just hopes that anyone who listens to her will like her songs. She also tries to comfort people with her music if they seem sad or lonely. She tries her best when she sings, and feels hurt when someone doesn't like her music.
Although Lapis is very small, there are times when she can make herself "grow" and look more normal, although even then she's still a bit shorter than the others. She only does this during performances because it takes a lot of magic and uses up her energy, doesn't last very long, and just feels weird. Also, she can't fly when she's in that state, she can only levitate (sort of), and that annoys her.

Aoki Lapis obviously loves gemstones and shining objects, and happens to collect them because she thinks they are very beautiful. If she sees something shiny in the background, she'll usually fly over to it and see what it is. Lapis loves imagining and creating things, so she enjoys things such as writing stories and songs, painting, and making things out of clay. Lapis definitely doesn't like animals, since most of them don't mind playing "Catch the Fairy", and she is very scared of cats. She really doesn't like the topic of death since her songs give life. She is scared of the dark, so she always has a light on, even at night. Lapis also doesn't like it when she sees someone being bullied or threatened. She secretly wishes that life didn't have to be so unfair.

Aoki Lapis doesn't have many memories of Master, however she does remember one time when she had a concert and earned lots of money, which she immediately used to buy a bunch of cool things for her room and lots of art supplies. However, she had no idea that she had to give that money to Master. She asked Master if he could excuse her this one time, since she truly didn't know, however Master told her that there were no exceptions to his rules, and that he needed the money or Lapis would face "dire consequences". Lapis panicked because she really didn't want to find out what these dire consequences were. She looked for some way that she could get money, and ended up selling a lot of gemstones from her collection. She was really sad, because a lot of those gems reminded her of happy times. She was also sad because her creator was so mean and unforgiving. Master's name brings fear and sadness into her heart. However, she secretly hopes that there is some goodness in him.
