Rin was continuing to shift through the rather small room, as most were. It was a huge mansion, but even so, it had to fit quite a few Vocaloids in it, so when it came to places such as a bedroom, there were stylish, each fitting our 'given' personalities, as well as very small in size. She poked her head back out from the large batch of wire behind the television, which was obviously not where the Vocaloid had chosen to hide. Just as the short-blonde haired girl was going to check behind the nightstand, something stopped her. It was someone. On. The. Bed. All of a sudden shaking a little bit in complete surprise, Rin Kagamine whipped he body around to face the person on the bed. Right away noticing the bright firey-red hair, she quickly figured out who exactly it was. CUL.
She acted as if she hadn't gone anywhere, and sat their with an annoyed look on her face, her tone sounding exactly the same as she looked. CUL acted as if she had never even left the spot on the bed, and was almost smiling at Rin. It was a smirk, that was for sure. But even so, could it be possible that Rin really didn't see her as she was standing there? Maybe so.... So as she stood their, she quickly grew a blank expression on her face, and eyes wide with fright, as well as confusion, Rin rubbed her head, trying to recall what exactly had happened before hand. "Where you there the entire time...I don't recall it.. Rin's voice started to trail off quite a bit as her mouth gaped open a little bit, her whole brain seeming to threaten explode at the seams. Now CUL was asking the girl why she was here, and suddenly remembering it, the now red-faced Rin tried to start a semi-civil conversation. "Well, um, all that I really wanted was to talk to you" Rin began, trying her best to crack a smile. She did, but it looked rather fake, as she was a tad bit too embarrassed to really feel that happy. "I though that um, we could maybe become friends?"

CUL saw Rin turn around and face her. She seemed to be very confused, as her eyes grew wide and she was shaking a bit. Well, CUL somewhat managed to make it seem like she was on her bed the whole time, so that was good enough, in a way. Rin, though she was confused, told CUL why she came. To "talk" to her and possibly become her friend. CUL could see where this was going. After Rin became her "friend" and got the information she wanted, she would forget about their so-called friendship and hang out with whatever Vocaloids were really her friends. I won't let that happen... but... I guess it wouldn't hurt to talk for a bit, CUL thought, looking at Rin skeptically. She wasn't sure why Rin absolutely HAD to know the things that were going on in her life. Doesn't Rin have her own problems? she wondered. CUL believed that what went on in her life was no one else's business. Whatever, she thought, Rin isn't going to leave this room knowing any more about me than she did when she came in. It'll be a waste of time for the both of us. "Alright, fine. I'll talk to you, but only for a little bit," CUL said to Rin. She wondered if Rin was going to ask her the same questions over and over again, like she did at dinner about an hour ago. CUL got ready for what would most likely be a long conversation filled with aggravation and rage.

Rin watches as the girl seemed to consider this idea. It seemed quite obvious that CUL didn't want to have Rin be her company, not at all, it seemed. As she watched and waited, she shifted back and forth on her two feet, as she often did when she was either starting to get impatient, or if she was nervous. Rin wasn't currently sure which one of those was the case this time, and it could very possible be both of the two. Please....please.... Rin thought to herself, crossing her fingers in her mind, when all of a sudden, something came to her. Why was it that she was doing this in the first place? Was she really all that worried about CUL in the first place, when they barely even knew each other. All that they had in common, as far as she knew was that they were both Vocaloids, and created, by the same person. Rin still couldn't help but cringe at the thought of being created, and shook a little bit, That wasn't important now though.
Rin thought that maybe it was because she didn't have many close friends. Fans sure, but when it came to friends, it was really only Len... the others were just mere characters in the performances that she puts on. It was what she was created for, anyways, so what did friends matter...? At that thought, Rin completely zoned out, and didn't really hear what CUL had to say. All that she got was the fine. This made her dip her head back up to face the red head. She simply shook her head slowly, looking so much different then she had just moments ago. This was ridiculous. Finding out about others was pointless. Becoming 'friends' with another was just not worth it. She wasn't m-made for that.... "A-actually, never mind. I have something else that I n-need to do..." Rin said softly, her eyes looking a little bit saddened, and her heart slowing down. If of course it was a heart at all. Rin turned away from her room, face monotone and expressionless. Without another word, Rin Kagamine walked out of the room, shutting it on the way out.
What was she thinking....?

CUL looked at Rin, preparing for the conversation they were going to have. She played some of the possible things Rin would say and her responses to those things over and over in her head. She sometimes did this when she was about to talk to someone she didn't really know yet. However, for some reason, Rin's expression changed. She still seemed to be a bit confused, but she also seemed sad, in a way. Rin shook her head, said something along the lines of "never mind", and left the room. What just happened? CUL thought. She stared at the spot where Rin was standing just a minute ago. She was actually a bit disappointed that all the time she spent preparing for this conversation had gone to waste. However, she was also relieved that Rin left so early. Even so... something about the way Rin acted almost made CUL feel sorry for her. Maybe there was something going on with Rin that CUL didn't understand. CUL decided to draw Rin a picture. She wasn't exactly the best artist, but she could draw... well, at least, she thought she could. She drew a picture of Rin onstage, surrounded by lots of fans and a few Vocaloids cheering for her. It was the best gift CUL could come up with at the time. However, she didn't sign her name on the paper. She wanted it to be from an anonymous Vocaloid, and she hoped Rin didn't realize she drew it. That would just cause more confusion, which neither of them needed right now. The next morning, CUL got up really early and slid the picture under Rin's door.

Rin stepped into her bedroom, sighing quite loudly to herself. She didn't know much what else she was actually to do for the night, so simply she reached over to her lamp, and pulling down the light switch on it. After that, the small room was engulfed in darkness. Not having anything else better to do, teh confused, and slightly angry girl simply laid back on her bed, and shut her eyes. Rin didn't even bother to change into pajamas, or even go under the covers, she just quickly went to sleep. It didn't take her all that long to doze off, as she often did when she felt stress coming on. Just because she had a long sleep, doesn't exactly mean that it was peaceful though. It was dreamless, as they often were, but she still had this scared and frightened feeling in her subconscious that kept her half awake. So come morning she wasn't the most attentive. Once Rin was awake, she groggily looked over at the front of her room, by her door. Laying on the carpet, was a surprise.
"Eh, what's this?" Rin said with a yawn, cupping her mouth once it was said. She bent down to lift up the sheet of paper. Rin had to get the piece of paper close up to her face, as right when she woke up it was difficult to see anything, as her eyes weren't really working correctly yet. Once she could get a glimpse of it, her eyes ended up widening with surprise. It was... her. She was on a stage, performing, people were sitting and cheering, as well as a few recognizable Vocaloids cheering her on. Rin's eyes started to sparkle, and she seemed to loose energy, as she plopped herself back on her bright orange bed. Rin simply stared at the picture, and as she did, one thought came into her mind: Who drew this for me?

CUL opened her eyes, yawned, and turned over so she could see her alarm clock. It was 7:32, so it seemed that she slept a bit longer than she normally did. For a second, the new day felt normal, but then she remembered all the odd things that happened the day before. She got up and put on some black jeans, a white belt, and a red tank top. While she was brushing her bright red hair, she thought about Rin. What exactly happened last night? Did Rin suddenly remember that there was something she had to do or someone she was supposed to meet? CUL just didn't understand the other Vocaloids sometimes. Oh well. It didn't matter much anyway. After all, if Rin really did have something else to do, then that was a good thing since it meant CUL didn't have to actually talk to her. CUL stepped out of the room. Since her room was all the way at the end of the hallway, it was a long walk down that hallway and down the stairs. She couldn't wait to eat her favorite breakfast, which was salad. Spicy salad, of course. Hopefully, she wouldn't make it to the kitchen too late like she did yesterday.

Rin had absolutely no clue what time it was, and at the moment she had absolutely no car about that, or even what year it was. She was just engulfed in the picture, trying to figure it out, and why it was even at her front room to begin with. Was someone trying to earn her love? Did she now have some secret admirer or something? Rin doubted that that was the case, as there weren't very many Vocaloids, especially of the opposite sex, that were her age, so unless there was a girl running around in love with her, Rin had a feeling that this was something else completely. But even though she had taken a secret lover out of her ideas, she was still stumped. Rin had like, zero friends, not counting Len, whom was the closest that she had to a friend. But he wasn't really the type of person that would draw pictures and slip it under the door in the middle of the night. In fact, does he ever even stay up late enough to do such a thing?
Rin tried to get herself to pay attention to the world around her once again, but as she was getting ready to leave her room, her attention would every once in awhile drift back onto the picture, and she would further analyze it, to see if she missed anything important, such as a signature, or something. But each and every time she looked at it, she came up with nothing. The person truly did not want to give out it's identity or anything. This didn't actually frustrate her, as it normally did, but actually made Rin raise her eyebrows. She was curious, but had absolutely no clue where to start if she was to find out herself. So simply, Rin dressed into a pair of jean shorts with a black short sleeved shirt, and an orange sweatshirt on over it. She put her hair up in a low ponytail with a black scrunchy, and called it good for the time being. There wasn't anyone that she wanted to impress out and about the Vocaloid Mansion. Or at least, she hoped so.

When CUL got inside the kitchen, she was delighted to see that no one else was there. She smiled to herself as she looked through the cupboards and found the ingredients she needed to make her salad; lettuce, tomatoes, croutons, pepper, some spices lying around, and sharp cheddar cheese. Whenever CUL tried to make the delectable salad in front of anyone else, they would simply look at her in disgust and ask how she could ever eat "something like that". CUL used to explain how good it tasted and how the lettuce, croutons, and cheese balance out the taste of the spice and pepper, however, they never really listened, so now she would just say something along the lines of "Because I want to", and turn away. Luckily for her, she was the only one in the kitchen at the time, so she grabbed a fork, sat down at a table in one of the corners, and started eating. The salad tasted really good and helped CUL think a bit more clearly. She decided that it was probably best to leave Rin alone. No more talking, no more pictures. In fact, it was probably a bad idea to draw one in the first place. Oh, well... It didn't matter now. What's done is done.

Rin opened the door, not really ready to tackle the day, but she didn't exactly have much of a choice at the time, as she was needed quite a bit in the house. Many Vocaloids relied on her to spread the word of the Vocaloids in order for them to be more successful. Rin wasn't even sure if she would get to doing that today, as so far she wasn't even completely sure that she would make it down the stairs. Turns out she was parshly right, and she didn't seem to have the ability to make it down. At least not without a little help that is.
As she stepped up to the cream-colored carpeted staircase, Rin stepped on the top step, but that was as far as she got. Her other foot tripping against the top of the stairs, Rin was sent tumbling down it. The staircase wasn't too far down, but the rolling and tumbling was quite painful. It all happened to fast, it was pretty much a blur to her, but before she knew it, she was down at the very bottom of the stairs, and landing head first at that. She groaned a little bit, trying to stand herself back up. Knees bruised, as well as her head, all that Rin could really think about was the pain. The hardwood flooring wasn't exactly the most comfortable place to land after such a hard fall. Not really paying much attention to the world around her, Rin cared a bit more about her own well being, and making sure that all of her body was okay. Hopefully, it was....

CUL washed the salad bowl and put it with the other bowls inside one of the cupboards. She walked out of the kitchen and headed towards the stairs. She was going to go to her room, but she saw Rin at the bottom of the staircase, just lying there. CUL walked over to the yellow-haired Vocaloid. What the heck was Rin doing? When she made it to the staircase, she saw that Rin was bruised and probably hurt. CUL had no idea what to do in situations like this, but she thought it might have been a bit uncomfortable for Rin, since she was lying on the hard floor. She put her hands under Rin, and, with some effort, managed to pick her up and carry her to the couch. The couch was soft and plush, and was definitely more comfortable than the floor. There was a table near the couch, so CUL ran to the kitchen and grabbed some oranges and water, which she put on the table in case Rin woke up. That was really all she could do for now, so CUL sighed and hoped that Rin would be alright.

Rin, still struggling with the pain, had a sudden occurrence come to her- she could possibly end up having a concussion. This have a new found fear, as well a pain go shooting down her back as she laid there. Giving one last poor attempt to stand herself back up, Rin gritted her teeth, landing back down. She was pathetic, having a staircase tear her down. But there was nothing that she could do about it. Pain now starting to blur her vision, Rin couldn't really even think straight anymore, and all that she had left was the blur of color around her. The last thing that Rin saw though, was a blur of red, before it was darkness.
---
Ouch.... Rin lifted her head up, looking around the scene. It seemed that she was now on one of the few couches in Television Room, the one that was directly located next to the kitchen, and in fact, could be seen from there. Still very much dazed and confused, Rin used her hands and arms as a weight supports as she tried to figure out what had went down. All that she remembered was that she fell... so how in the world was the on the couch now? Rin's eyes, still clouded and tired, made their way over to the coffee table in front of her, where a small glass of ice water and a single orange fruit lay. This almost brought a smile to the Kagamine's face, but she couldn't help but wonder how it got there, and who did this? She didn't have a clue, or at least not until she caught sight of a certain someone in the dining room at a table. It was CUL, the only one still out there, but what she could see. Now that she thought about it, she remembered there being a blur of red before she went out cold, so, was it?
Was it even possible?

CUL looked over at the couch for what was probably the hundredth time in the last fifteen minutes. She hadn't really been doing anything after she took Rin off the staircase, she just tried to come up with answers to some questions she had and thought about what to say when Rin woke up. First off, why was Rin at the bottom of the staircase in the first place? And why was she so badly hurt? Maybe she fell down or tripped while trying to go up to her room or... something. And would she be okay? It was early in the morning, so CUL wasn't sure if any other Vocaloids would be coming anytime soon. Suddenly, she saw that Rin had started to move, and walked over to the living room where she was. "Rin, are you alright?" CUL asked, hoping that she was okay. If she wasn't, CUL would have absolutely no idea what to do next. She didn't know what she was supposed to do if someone else was hurt except maybe smack a few bandages on if they were bleeding. CUL sat down on a chair nearby and waited for Rin's answer, hoping that she wasn't in a lot of pain...

Rin continued to sit there, still throbbing with pain. She was still in complete disbelief that she was helped by someone, especially someone like CUL. It was probably Luka or someone like that, who was embarrassed to say that they carried her over and ran off. But after a moment or two of silence, and a lot more confusion, Rin finally started to get a hint of sorts about who it was, and it wasn't any of the people that she thought were even remotely possible.
"Rin, are you alright?"
The voice asked Rin with quite the worried tone. Rin was a bit surprised to hear a voice, and even jumped a little bit because of this, making her head throb a little bit harder. Trying her best not to cry out in pain, Rin looked around for the cause of the voice. It sounded very familiar. "Yeah..." She said with a rather groaning voice, even if she tried not to show it. It would be nice to be waited on just because of some silly little fall, but it wasn't silly or little, and considering Rin knew who it was anyways, or at least had a clue, she didn't think it would happen anyways. So she figured she would just get herself up and leave, before CUL gets angry at her for whatever reason it may be. It was, of course, CUL anyways....

When CUL heard Rin mumble "Yeah..." she was definitely relieved. It seemed like she could leave now, unless Rin was really in more pain than she was letting on. Something told CUL that that could be the case, so she wondered if she should call someone or something. After all, there wasn't anything else she could do at this point. However, if Rin really was doing alright, then that would be overkill and she would be disturbing someone else for no real reason. CUL eventually decided that she should probably just leave Rin alone, since whenever CUL was in pain, she hated it when people worried about her all the time. "Okay, Rin..." she started, "I won't bother you anymore if you're fine. However, if you really aren't, you should just tell me so I can find someone else to help you." With that, CUL turned around and slowly walked out of the room. She paused for a second once she neared the end of the room, just in case Rin wanted to say something. If she didn't, CUL wouldn't bother her anymore.

Rin's eyes were large as she watched CUL, who was now inside the room. So... it really was CUL that wanted to help her after all... it wasn't something that she had expected, especially after the way that Rin was to her, and also the way that the red-haired Vocaloid was back to her. Didn't exactly make it really seem that the two would be close at all, and Rin didn't think that they were anyways. Was she.. maybe wrong about it, and CUL actually cared about her? It was something new to her, as normally the only people who cared for her were her fans, but they wouldn't ever help her up, they would more then likely just strip her of her clothing and keep it as a keepsake. So this whole thing pretty much caught the blondie off guard. Lifting up her ice water, Rin took a dainty sip of it, not all that thirsty at the moment, not to mention the fact that the ice coolness of the water gave a sharp pain to her head. This made her nearly drop, but managed to set it back on the table with a deep breath. She just needed to keep casual and calm, no big deal or anything. Trying to crack a smile once again, but once again failing, Rin listened to CUL as she somewhat hesitantly told her that she would be leaving her alone. For some off reason, this made her heart drop, but she quickly corrected herself. She would be perfectly fine on her own, she didn't need help of anyone, being 14 and all meant responsibilities for her own, at least an attempt of that anyways. So there Rin sat, watching as CUL slowly began making her way through the door. But she looked back for but a moment, and then turned her head back around. As if on an impulse, Rin opened her mouth, eyes still quite wide. "No! W-Wait..." She called out to the girl, heart beating faster then it had for the last few days, and that was quite something. Now that she had gotten CUL's attention, she had to say what it was that she wanted to say. Face red, as well as a but flustered, the young and short girl at last blurted out what she wanted to say.
"C-CUL.. thank you..."
