CUL has red hair that she normally keeps in a ponytail. Her height is average, and she's skinny since she doesn't eat very much. During performances, she wears a white and red shirt with no straps or sleeves and white shorts with a red and black cape and long black boots over her black and white socks. However, when she's not performing, her favorite outfit is a normal dress that's black at the top and fades into red at the bottom. She has other outfits too that are mostly black, red, and white, since those are her favorite colors.

CUL has a tendency to aggravate some people. Not because she tries to annoy them, but because she states her opinions boldly without any thought as to whether what she says may be considered "rude" to others. She doesn't really care about how others see her, but she forms an opinion on others easily, and doesn't take much time to find out what someone else is really like unless she is interested in them, which is rare. She can be very stubborn at times, and doesn't really have any friends. She also doesn't ask anyone for help with anything because she believes that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. CUL's main goal in life is to have fun singing and secretly she is trying to create a plan to stop Master, however, in order to do that, she has to think many thoughts at the same time in case Master is listening, so that makes it hard for her to come up with anything. CUL is also very smart and can figure out things like Rubiks Cubes if given enough time. But she's not a genius, so she does get some things wrong. CUL also happens to like exploring, so she wanders around the mansion all the time. She's found some cool things while looking around the mansion. Once she even found a secret room, but it didn't have anything interesting in it, so she decided it must be a storage room and claimed it as a place she can go to when she's hiding from the other Vocaloids.

CUL loves guitars and synthesized instruments. She also loves hacking into computers, and she loves learning about computers and technology so she can figure out how to mess with them. CUL also likes to solve puzzles like Sudoku, word searches, and Rubik's cubes in her spare time. When she's not doing that, she's either playing video games, listening to music, or wandering around.
CUL hates rules that restrict freedom, such as rules about what to buy, when to eat, and how late you can stay up. She can't stand when others are looking for her or are "worried" about her. She also hates it when someone notices that she's struggling with something and needs help since she likes to do everything herself. She also happens to hate animals like dogs who need constant attention yet do nothing but annoy her and slobber everywhere. For that reason, she also dislikes babies. And kittens, even though she likes cats.

When CUL first came to the mansion, all she could remember was a voice telling her that if she didn't listen, bad things would happen. She overheard other Vocaloids that talked about a "Master" who controlled them, and their stories of what happened to them when they didn't obey. She didn't like the idea of this "Master" being able to see her wherever she was, so she made a wallpaper-like device that would keep Master from seeing her when she was in her room so she could do what she wanted there. However, Master found out about this device and made it so CUL was going insane. After the hallucinations, there was complete darkness, and a voice came telling her that she could either live forever in an insane world or take down the wallpaper. She eventually gave in, and once she trashed the wallpaper she made, she had to surrender the memory of how she made it to Master. She still wants revenge for what happened that day.
